Bill Freeman

Bill Freeman is the minister of Interfaith Congregation in Holland and of Harbor Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Muskegon. He felt called to the ministry on his birthday in 2001, his birthday is 9-11. He was baptized in 2003, on December 7th, Pearl Harbor Day. He spoke about starting an interfaith group on October 25, 2009, Reformation Sunday. And he was assigned to preach his first sermon in seminary on April 1, 2004, April Fools' Day. He hopes all those days and dates mean his ministry will always be about justice, peace, reforming religion and never taking himself too seriously.

Fred Wooden

Fred Wooden came to Grand Rapids in 2005 as Senior Minister of Foutain Street Church, a liberal church tht has been raising eyebrows and ruckeses all aong the way.  He came from Brooklyn, New York where he served the Unitarian Universalist Church there for almost eleven years.  But he is not a stranger to Michigan.  His family moved to the Detroit area in the 1970s, while he attended college in St. Louis and seminary in Chicago.

His work took him first to rural Masschusetts and then to Austin Texas.  He grew up in Baltimore MD, as did his wife of 35 years.  Fred wants to be as wise as his wife and as accomplished as his two adult sons.  You can see how he is coming by reading his blog or watching him preach via Youtube.
