Edward Snowden: Traitor or Patriot?
On this episode we ask if Edward Snowden is a patriot or a traitor. We devote a lot of time to the NSA data mining by the government and private contractors under contract with the government. We also talk about latest in state news, and the Plan B One Step morning after pill is now available to women over the counter at any age. We blister Laura Ingraham over her comments about it. The studio was full of testosterone as Darren, Jim, and Joe were joined by Reece Cooper and Nathan Phenicie. The boys talked about Michigan's scanner law and how it works, the US Supreme Court rules on DNA testing and how that ruling may intrude on your liberties, and Snyder wants to expand EAA. Darren, Jim, and Joe are visited by intern Reece Cooper. Jim Chase from Teamsters 406 came in to talk about the organizing effort at 7UP in Cadillac. Mixed Martial Arts fighter and promoter Joel Chapman joined us by phone as we discussed two bills going through Lansing to regulate the MMA industry. The boys also discussed Michelle Bachmann announcing her retirement from Congress, Mark Schauer is running for governor, and Darren and Joe get into a heated debate about the First Amendment and whether there are restrictions to free speech. Let's Talk About Sex Education
Jim takes the day off and Darren and Joe are joined by Nathan Phenicie. The show started with a phone interview with Katelyn Campbell, the West Virginia high school student who's fighting for proper sex education at her public high school. This very articulate lady was kind enough to talk to us on the day of her graduation. We also talked about the GOP continuing to fabricate "scandals" including the new Umbrellagate scandal. Other topics include the politicizing of the horrible tornado that hit Oklahoma. And how much money has been spent so far on the two attorneys helping Judge Aquillina in the Bolger-Schmidt fiasco?
